Romanian Heartland

It is another world from another time in the mountains and countryside of rural Romania. The villages are the heartland of Romania’s cultural heritage. Strong folk and religious traditions and a simple agrarian lifestyle have survived but not without struggle. Romania’s cultural heritage has always rebounded despite invaders carving up the land over many centuries including most recently 50 years of a communist government. The human spirit prevails.
